Bio: Jerry is one of the co-founders of ORS.  He specializes in orthopedics, sports medicine and treatment of the knee and shoulder, including post arthroscopic and knee ligament reconstruction.  Jerry is a graduate of Ohio State University. He has completed his certification in the BACKtoGOLF® “Sports Medicine Program for Golfers” and the Advanced BACKtoGOLF® Program.  He is an active member in the American Physical Therapy Association, the Private Practice Section and the Sports Medicine Section of the APTA, the Michigan Physical Therapy Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Bio: Dave graduated from Central Michigan University with a master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1999 and joined ORS In July 1999.  He earned a B.S. degree in agricultural economics from Michigan State University in 1984 and spent nine years working for Frito-Lay, Inc before pursuing a career in PT.  Recently he has focused his continuing education on manual therapy, concentrating on Maitland Australian techniques.   Dave loves to spend time on his boat, either with his family or bass fishing and runs for exercise and stress relief.  He has three children including, a son with Down Syndrome, who sparked his interest in PT.  Additionally Dave coordinates clinical education of PT and PTA students for our clinics.

Bio: Emily has been part of our team since 2006. She graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago in 2005 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Emily is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association. She has been taking continuing education courses in Manual Therapy  through the University of St. Augustine and has been trained in the Graston technique. Emily also enjoys orthopaedics, sports rehabilitation and vestibular rehab.

Bio: Becky is a 1989 graduate of Andrews University with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy.  She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in 1988 with her focus on Anatomy, Orthopedics & wellness/healthy living.  Becky worked with us early in her career and has returned to work with us in 2007.  She enjoys spending free time with her family and practicing yoga.

Bio:  Kim is a 1989 graduate of University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelors in physical therapy and a Masters of Business in 2009 from Baker College. Over her 20 plus years in physical therapy, Kim has worked in a variety of settings including home care, nursing homes, outpatient therapy.  She moved to Michigan (from Maryland) in 2000 with her family and joined ORS in 2007.  Kim is married and has 2 boys in the Jackson Public schools and 2 dogs. They enjoy camping, swimming and as a family take HapKiDo. Kim also enjoys running and biking.

Bio: Barb graduated from Wayne State University and has 30+ years of working as a Physical Therapist in Jackson.  She has had a variety of work experiences in home health, nursing home and hospital settings.  For the past 25 years she has loved working in outpatient orthopedics.  Currently, she is working at the Robinson Rd. clinic, collaborating with other therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants and Athletic Trainers to help provide the breadth and depth of experience to give our clients the best care possible in a fun and relaxing setting.

Bio: Adrienne received her Bachelor’s in Health Sciences with a minor in Exercise Science from Oakland University (Go Grizzlies!). She went to graduate school to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University as well, which tends to focus on manual therapy.  During her schooling, she worked as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor on campus.  Her interests are; working out, riding her motorcycle and hanging out with friends.

Bio: Pam joined the staff of ORS- Holt in 2010. She is a 1982 graduate of Northeastern University. Along with specializing in Orthopedics and Sports medicine she is a Certified Provider of the Graston Technique ( a patented form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization ). She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Orthopedic Section, and the Michigan Physical Therapy Association. In her spare time Pam enjoys backpacking, gardening and golf.

Bio: Katie graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH May 2006 with a Bachelors of Applied Health Science. She was then accepted to The University of Toledo physical therapy program and graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May of 2009.  Currently, her clinical interest include: orthopedic and neurologically involved patients in the outpatient setting.  Katie recently got married in June of this year.  She has a furry little girl named Tess who is a yellow lab and is the joy of her and her husband's lives!  Katie's husband and her enjoy riding motorcyles, Harley Davidson motorcycles, with her parents.  Lastly, Katie enjoys cooking, being outside gardening and campfires with great friends. Bio: I have been with ORS since 2002. I received my Associate’s Degree in Applied Science from Kellogg Community College in 1995. I have worked in various settings such as outpatient rehab, home care, acute care and skilled nursing facilities. I have worked in the Total Joint Clinic since its opening in 2004. My various continuing education courses consist of Total Joint Replacements, Aquatic Therapy, Wound Care and Ulcer Prevention, Patients at Risk for Falls, and Geriatric Therapeutic Exercise.  I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and attending Michigan State sporting events.

Bio:  Alison is a graduate of Central Michigan University with her degree in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science.  She is an active member of National Athletic Trainer’s Association, Michigan Athletic Trainers Society, Inc and serves on the Educational Committee.  Alison was the head trainer of Western High School and provided medical coverage to the athletes.  She is a recent graduate of Kellogg Community College with an Assocites Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant and works out of our Page Avenue clinic.  Alison is also a certified instructor for American Red Cross Community First Aid and CPR.  In her spare time, Alison enjoys photography.

Bio: Erika started her career with ORS in 2003 with the opening of the West Clinic.  Since then, she has returned to school and has successfully completed the PTA program at Kellogg Community College.  While she loves all aspects of her work, she has a true passion for the aquatic setting.  In her spare time, she enjoys taking pictures, running and spending time with her three children.

Bio: Joanna joined ORS’s Holt location in March of 2010. While she enjoys working with many different types of diagnoses, Joanna’s focus in recent years has been on sports injuries/return to sport and exercise progression.

Bio: Pete graduated from Mott Community College in 2008 with his Associates degree in Applied Science, as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  His continuing education includes being trained in the Graston Technique.  Pete really enjoys treating people who have neck and back injuries.  His focus is on decreasing pain and returning people to their normal work and play activities.  Pete plans to someday return to school and pursue his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.  In his spare time, Pete enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and golfing.

Bio: Kevin is a co-owner of ORS.  He specializes in sports injuries and athletic enhancement.  He graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Buffalo where he had a double-major in exercise science and physical therapy.  He received his athletic training degree through Albion college in 1996 and is a certified specialist in sports physical therapy.  He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Bio: Kelly is a licensed, certified Athletic Trainer.  Kelly graduated from Michigan State University, in which she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a specialization in Athletic Training, May 2004.  Kelly has been the Head Athletic Trainer at Springport High School since August 2004-present.  Kelly is also a Certified Massage Therapist.  She received her professional training at Lansing Community College.  Kelly specializes in Sports Therapy massage techniques.  Kelly is very involved in the community with volunteering her time and talents with keeping kids active.   Kelly enjoys basketball.  She is a voluntary AAU Basketball coach.  Kelly also is a player/coach for two woman's basketball leagues.  Kelly enjoys helping others, staying physically active and keeping everyone around her “smiling”.

Bio: Jordan graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. While at Michigan State, she was able to learn various manual therapy techniques. As an athletic training student, Jordan worked with football, women’s soccer, men’s basketball, women’s golf, women’s cross country, and women’s tennis.

In 2011, Jordan earned her Master’s degree in Health Education at the Pennsylvania State University. While at Penn State, Jordan’s graduate studies focused on exertional heat illness prevention and education for the high school population.  Jordan provided medical coverage for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s ice hockey, men’s and women’s tennis, softball, and field hockey.

Jordan joined the ORS team in July 2011. She provides medical coverage to the athletes at Columbia Central High School. Jordan also assists with performance training at Optimal Performance Specialists, as well as with patient care at ORS West and the Total Joint & Aquatic Center. She is currently working toward becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Bio:  Danielle Knight is the Athletic Trainer at Grass Lake High School, affiliated with Orthopaedic Rehab Specialists P.C. Danielle received her Master’s of Science at California University of Pennsylvania in May 2011, where she was a Graduate Assistant for women’s swimming, men’s and women’s golf, and men’s and women’s soccer. Danielle graduated from Alma College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in 2010. Currently, she lives in Lansing, MI with her husband Brett Knight.

Bio:  Todd graduated from Central Michigan University in Dec. 2002, majoring in Sports Medicine with a minor in Exercise Science. He began working for Orthopedic Rehab Specialists in the spring of 2003 as the Athletic Trainer for Lumen Christi High School.  In 2005, Todd graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with his Master’s Degree in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention.  After a short career move, Todd rejoined ORS in March 2009. Currently he is working in the pool at our Total Joint and Aquatic Center, performing aquatic therapy, as well as working as the Athletic Trainer for Vandercook Lake High School. At Vandercook Lake High School, Todd is available for all home sporting events, and some away events, to help prevent, assess, and treat athletic injuries. While not at work, Todd enjoys spending time with his wife Betsy and their daughter Maddison, born in Aug of 2011, as well as playing golf, volleyball, and camping.
